Recently I wrote a piece on living a purposeful life. Here's another
piece of that pie. When making a decision about the kind of person to
spend the rest of your life with, you must have first discovered your
purpose and be on the path of fulfillment.
The decision of
marriage is equally as important as discovering one's purpose because
the choice of partner you make has everything to do with your life's
purpose.
Very often people are more concerned about finding a partner
than they are about their purpose. Sadly, many make hasty decisions in
clinging unto someone who ends up distracting them from their purpose.
Age, heartbreak, loneliness, impatience and pressure should not force
you into a relationship unprepared.
Many people are struggling in their marriages today because, they
discovered along the way that their partner has made them drift away
from their life's purpose. Marriage or any relationship for that matter
should be entered into with purpose of growth and positivity. If the
relationship doesn't take you closer on your journey to fulfilling your
purpose, know that it's taking you further away from it and this
applies even in friendships or the company we keep.
Be intentional about everything you do. You can't afford to live your life by chance because, you have no idea how long you've got on earth. One of the worse things that can happen to anyone is to die without fulfilling your purpose in earth. The choice you make when it comes to getting a life partner has everything to do with your purpose; it could make things easier or way more difficult for you in discovering and living your purpose.
Once you have discovered tour purpose and start living it, then you can inform yourself well in choosing the right team mate to work together with in fulfilling it. Don't let it be the other way around because that will be a grave mistake and not many people get the chance in life to correct such mistakes. Know you, discover your purpose, live each day at a time and then find the unique person you know will contribute to making that purpose be accomplished.
